5th generation winemaker of Grace Wine, a family winery founded in 1923 in the Yamanashi prefecture. Winemaking qualifications include Yamanashi University, studied in Bordeaux University and post graduate in vine physiology from Stellenbosch University. Worked vintages in the wineries in Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina. In 2014, Grace Wine’s white, crafted from Japanese indigenous variety “Koshu” won the first gold medal for Japanese wines in the Decanter World Wine Awards.
